Mike Purvis

I’m Mike Purvis. I measure and fix how businesses show up in search, maps, and AI answers – for local service businesses through my agency, NH Strategic Marketing in Concord, New Hampshire, and for national home service brands at multi-market scale. Get Found is the public side of that work: this site, a benchmark of the biggest brands in home services, and a free YouTube course.

The plain version

I’ve spent 15 years doing local marketing for real service businesses – the kind where the owner answers the phone in the truck. That work is the source material for everything here. When something on this site says “here’s what actually moves the needle,” it’s because we’ve done it for paying clients, not because it sounded good in a draft.

Most advice on this topic is either hype or a sales funnel for a tool. Get Found is neither. The methods are published free, the tests are things you can run yourself, and when I do have a financial relationship with something I mention, it’s disclosed – plainly, every time. The standing version lives on the disclosure page.

The site is built to its own standard

Everything this site tells you to do, this site does: plain language, a page for each thing it offers, answer-first FAQ, real name and real town on this page, structured markup underneath. If a recommendation here tells you to do something, you can look at this site and see it done. That’s deliberate – the site is its own proof.

The two audiences

Local owners get the free material and the free audit – that side is complete on its own and always will be. Separately, I work with national home service brands on the same problem at multi-market scale: measuring how AI assistants recommend, or ignore, their locations city by city, then fixing it in priority order. If that’s you, the national brands page is your door.

The benchmark

I’m building The State of AI Visibility in Home Services – an ongoing benchmark of how AI assistants recommend the largest national home service brands across a fixed set of US metros, with the methodology published in full. The first edition publishes on this site.

Where to start

If you own a local service business: get the free audit or run the check yourself. If you run marketing for a national brand: start here instead. Either way, a person reads what you send.
