AI search visibility, measured market by market

When a customer asks an AI assistant who to call, it answers with somebody.

I measure whether that somebody is you – in Google, Google Maps, and AI answers like ChatGPT – and what to fix where it isn’t. For national home service brands, that means every market they operate in. For local service businesses, it means their one market, done right.

I’m Mike Purvis, in Concord, New Hampshire. I’ve been growing businesses through online marketing and increased visibility for more than 20 years. Since 2012, that work has run through NH Strategic Marketing, the agency I co-founded. This site is where that work lives now: a free audit, a working benchmark of how AI assistants recommend the biggest names in home services, and plain instructions for checking your own visibility yourself – no tool purchase required.

I run marketing for a national or franchise brand

A brand can be the default AI recommendation in Dallas and invisible in Denver – and nobody at headquarters knows, because nobody is asking the question the way customers ask it. I measure it, market by market, and fix it in priority order.

I run a local service business

You can check – and fix – most of your own visibility for free. The step-by-step version is on this site, and the same material is taught in video on the Get Found YouTube channel.

The method

Measurement before fixes, always

1

Ask the real questions

Questions written the way customers actually talk – “my water heater is leaking, who do I call” – not keyword strings. What gets asked determines what the answer is worth.

2

Read the actual answers

The same questions, in every market that matters, captured and dated. Where you appear, who appears instead, and what the AI gets wrong about you.

3

Fix in priority order

Remediation comes after measurement, ordered by what the answers showed. Fixing blind is how marketing budgets disappear.

The State of AI Visibility in Home Services

An ongoing benchmark of how AI assistants recommend – or ignore – the largest national home service brands across a fixed set of US metros. Same brands, same markets, same questions, re-run on a schedule, so the trend line means something. The first edition publishes here, with the full methodology alongside it.

The free course

Get Found is also a free YouTube course for local service business owners: how search, maps, and AI visibility actually work, taught in order, with tests you can run yourself. The site doesn’t require the videos and the videos don’t require the site – but they cover the same ground, and the video version is there if you’d rather watch than read.
